How LANDE works:
LANDE is a farming crowdfunding platform with a two-sided business model. On the one hand, they have investors. And on the other hand, they have borrowers that are seeking funds.
The process works as follows:
- The borrower requests a loan at LANDE
- If the request is accepted, the business gets the loan
- The loan is now made available for investment on LANDE
- You can now invest in the loan and earn a profit

How safe is LANDE?
To determine if LANDE is safe, we have taken a look at some of the potential upsides and downsides of investing with LANDE. However, when you consider the safety of LANDE, we don’t recommend that you rely solely on information found in our LANDE review as this is only based on our research. We always recommend that you also do your own research before investing any money.
1. LANDE profitability
Secured Finance MGMT LTD, the company behind LANDE, made a profit of €42,194 as stated in their profit or loss account for the year 2021.
The company was also profitable in 2019 and 2020.
2. Main risks
In the following part of our LANDE review, we go through some of the main risks of using LANDE:
Loan default risk
When you invest in P2B loans, there is a risk that the borrower will not be able to repay the loan. In that case, your investment is usually lost.
However, the loans at LANDE are all asset-backed with quite a low LTV. So in case that in case the borrower can’t repay, the asset will be sold at an auction. Here, the low LTV is important, as this increases the likelihood that the investor will more of the invested amount back in case the asset is auctioned.
You can see how the debt collection process works below:
The best way to hedge against loan default risk is to invest smaller amounts in many different loans, rather than investing large in only a few. Looking for loans with a low LTV is also a good idea.
LANDE bankruptcy risk
Of course, there is also a risk of LANDE going bankrupt. Like many other P2B lending platforms in Europe, LANDE has also taken precautions, should this happen.
For example, all investments are held on a segregated account from LANDE’s operational account.
Financial turndown risk
As P2P investing is a newer thing in the investment world, it can be difficult to predict how a financial turndown would affect this form of investment. As a starting point, it is, therefore, a really bad idea to invest your entire investment portfolio in P2P investments.
Therefore, many investors also choose to diversify into more traditional forms of investment such as equities, bonds, and traditional real estate.
Since investing is an individual thing, we obviously do not know what will be best for you. But if you put together your investment portfolio, make sure that it reflects your knowledge of the investments in it, as well as your own risk appetite. If in doubt about how to do so, make sure to seek help from a professional investment planner.
Is LANDE safe?
So far, LANDE has proved to be a more safe alternative to other P2P lending platforms.
For example, they managed to keep up the return for investors, whilst other platforms struggled.
This indicates that LANDE is doing a good job at picking borrowers for the marketplace. This is probably a result of an experienced team combined with the type of assets the platform is focused on.
LANDE has also made measures against its own bankruptcy.
With these things in mind, we believe that LANDE is among the safer platforms on the market.
However, other factors such as a lack of knowledge about how a financial turndown will affect the P2P lending industry are also risk factors that are worth considering.
Our experience with LANDE
Our overall experience with LANDE is very positive. When you compare the platform to others on metrics like usability and support, then they are among the better ones. At the same time, we believe that there is a fair balance between risk and reward on the platform.
There is nothing at the moment that is concerning about the platform.

Conclusion of our LANDE review
LANDE is one of the absolute best P2P platforms for agricultural loans.
All the loans are secured with assets. The loans themselves have a low average LTV of around 44%, which means that the loans on the platform are not overly aggressive.
This is probably due to the fact that the platform is led by an experienced team with over a decade of experience in the lending sector.
The annual return on the platform is around 10%, which is fairly good considering the safety of the platform.
LANDE is also highly rated on Trustpilot, where nearly all reviews are positive. Compared to other platforms in the industry, LANDE has a much better Trustscore.
